my 03 rx-1 didn't come with reverse,,is there a compamy which makes an aftermarket one or do i have to go directly to the dealer to get one. can't see riding a sled this heavy without reverse.....

I do not know where to get reverse, but if it is a question to add or not, I would add it for sure.
I would go with the original Yamaha kit. It may be more money but you get what you pay for Quality!

I put reverse on mine it cost me 600.00 at dealer and installed my self. glad i did

I've seen new Yamaha kits on ebay for around $200, but they aren't on there very often.

i think i have a guy in mass who is selling me a complete kit for $350.00..i work at a bike & sled shop part time..and my cost from the dealer is $675.00...sounded good to me.

I got lucky. Paid $400, installed. Worth every penny - that lever tends to freeze, and sometimes you have to move forward a little to get it to go - but it beats the old lift-and-swing method. Make sure you pay attention when you put those 2 small gears, and spring together.

And watch the plastic handle. Mine broke off at around -20F. Plastic doesn't handle cold very well.
