Reverse ?

I have 2 06 Apex's. One has reverse. The other doesn't. I want to swap out the reverse from the sled that has it to the one that doesn't. Besides the linkage what all do I need to do to swap it over? What gears in the chaincase need swaped?

I don't know first hand but it should be the two smaller gears between the top and bottom gears. Also the two bottom gears as the bottom gear for a reverse is different than the non-rev.. And of course the cover. If you don't mind having rev. of both you may just want to get the rev. kit and install that. Rather than taking apart two sleds just one. UltimatlyI would look at the fiche on line, or the service manual.

is it easier to take the complete chain case off as a unit???

Ya your probably right. I think I can leave the rear chaincase cover and just swap all the gears and outer chain case cover.

your non reverse rear half won't have the shaft for the double little gears. You should be able to switch it too. Maxdlx

Make sure you loctite the bolt for the small gear shaft it will fall out. Maxdlx
