Risers vs. New larger/wider handlebars

Okay

So I,m tryin to get this machine ready for the season and I have to raise and/or widen the bars on my 03 rx1m.

I would like to rise/widen them as much as possible without changing the cables. So I need to know how big I can go.

Should I just get a set of risers and put hooks in the ends of the bars to widen them. Or, should I just get a larger/wider set of bars?

Any links to posts or sites would be appreciated but if any of you bigger guys have done something like this I would love to hear about your setup.

Slatrat added a rider forward kit and a set of 06 bar to his 04, turned out nice rides well I rode it sunday, PM him.

Im not sure if Im in the market to do the rider forward. Its seems a bit much for me since I mostly trail ride...like 70% and 30% boondock.

I really wanting to reduce fatigue and make handling easier.

You my friend need a 4' pivoting bar riser. It worked great for me until I went to the rider forward mod. I still have mine in the shop.

I agree with frostbite.Made a big difference on mine plus uses the stock cables.
