i see that a lot of people are changing injectors or porting stock ones when running higher boost, and was wondering why you dont hear a lot of people just running a rising rate fuel pressure regulator with stock injectors??? it is a much cheaper route and should be good for higher boost levels, what is the max boost people are running with a regulator and stock injectors??? (with a larger fuel pump of course)

Rising rate for sure but not for anything over 10 pounds of boost after that injectors are needed, Its been proven big power comes when duty cycle does not exceed 75 % with a rising rate regulator. An apex with bigger injectors at 18-20lbs is an animal

I have a BEGI rising rate for my FPP stage 2 with stock injectors for 18 lbs boost in trail mode (and as high as 21) while still maintaining 10:1 AFR's, with a supplimental high pressure fuel pump inline.
Know for a fact that even FPP stage3's are to over 362 HP with stock Apex injectors with this same setup. Not sure what the injector duty cycle is at though, he's likely using fuel pressure to comp but can't deny it works.
I'd have to dig back into my DTR printouts and see if I still have a copy of the testing of Mark Tangas's FPP Apex to see if Jim had the fuel pressure listed...
