Rode Tughill Today!

Thanks, Bob. He does real well most of the time. Actually, he's part of the reason I went to the RX's...best chance of getting back from each ride. If we had cats, I'd need to carry extra food, insulin and some doctors for the unplanned stay in the woods... :D

Does anyone know what the trails up there are like today? I was debating on going tomorro... I'm only 40 min or so away. BTW was just directed to this forum. Lots of helpful info.

Please let us know what the trails were like. I would like to ride on Friday and want to know if the riding is any good.

Got this from snowmobile tug hill site:
Tug Hill -- Happy New Year... Magnum -- Thursday, 1 January 2004, at 12:22 a.m.
The temperature is approximately 28 degrees. Around mid afternoon on Wednesday, the Hill received a short blast of snow, with a dusting of new snow. Although most of the holiday traffic has left, there are still plenty of sledder's running the trails. The area conditions have not improved. Although the temperature highs have been staying below freezing, we haven't received any new snow. I had a friend that just got back early from Canada. It's worst up there, with less snow and rain. There's approximately 1" to 8" of snow on the ground, in the Tug Hill area. The forecast is calling for possible snow tonight and Friday. It appears the temperature is going to rise to the upper 40's on Saturday, with possible rain. On Sunday and Monday it looks like the temperature will drop and the precipitation will turn to snow. If the temperature stays below freezing, we may get a good amount of fresh snow. Stay tuned…

Think A Lot of Snow!!! Have A Safe & Happy Holliday...

I'm going up to Canada tomorrow, I was up there the weekend before Christmas, up in St Zenon and they had about 2 ft of snow and conditions where very good :D
Last night when I called Real Masse, I was informed that it was snowing 8)
Here is some feedback from Zen'z website:
Happy New Year!
730 am Thurs Jan 1 2004

Good morning! Currently snowing heavy and 20F or -8C, with two inches of new snow overnight.

I spent the evening with Crazy Al's family at the Refuge, and enjoyed his wife's spaghetti sauce with Gary Grause and his gang. They rode 150 miles to Saccacome, Lac a Leau Claire, Lac Blanc etc. They found that the river was not frozen over at St-Alexi. They met up with the groomer who directed them around the problem. He was very helpful and would not acecpt any money. The trails were excellent, and most of it groomed he said.

There seems to be some misinformation about Marineau's and the gas station across the highway. They ARE open, so you can run up over the dam if you like, and head out that way. The trail to the Repos has been groomed and also the 33 to Manawan, so they tell me.

The snowmobile club here builds excellent trails, I only wish they had a better system of spreading the information as to which trails are actually groomed. A daily fax sent out to all the businesses would be good. In the meantime, we rely on you the snowmobiler, to e-mail us with the latest news. (that means you!)because, I can't always get out.

In general however, everyone that I speak with is pleased about there holidays this year, and this says alot. All the motels and restaurants in the upper Lanaudiere are committing every effort to giving you a good time.

I want to wish you all a very happy and successful new year. May the peace of God fill your hearts and give you hope this morning as you contemplate the year to come. Each day is a gift.
