I was at a sled show and these guys were selling a small tank you mount above the oil tank. It had baffles in it which they said eliminates any oil from leaking when rolled over. Looked simple to install but I have never heard of anyone using it? Has anyone else heard of this?

sounds easier to just get the jacobson rov.there isnt that much room for another tank above the oil tank and I dont think I would want to roll the sled over on that side with another tank there to smash into the oil tank.

I would be interested
Looking for something that stops oil from entering while boon docking, doing donuts ,crazy side hills etc, I believe this is when I am loosing my oil the most.
Maybe a kit like this would help me out. Just stoping oil while rolled over after tether pulled dosnt interest me.

last winter the only time ive ever lost any amount of oil is when I would tip it on its side. boondocking, donuts and side hills there is enough baffling in the tank to keep it in there... just sayin

Huh I don't agree. Can go all day without rolling my sled yet in still using oil. Unless my nytro with 3000 kms is an oil burner
But intake and skid plate always covered in oil.

You don't think when climbing steep hills and doing a #*$&@ hook with the clutches down and oil tank up on a steep hill the oil isn't going to flow or get drawn into the intake. Oil canister ends up being the highest point of the sled.
My sled usually rides on one ski all day. Minimal trail. Big jumps bumps and hips all day
Don't see how the rov will help me In This situation because
sled is still runing just at extreme angles.

you must have something wrong with your oil system because I do all the same things as you discribe and I never use oil unless it gets rolled over, and I do alot of deep pow riding, we have no trails and I leave from my house strait to pow. you might want to check your oil tank or the routing of your oil lines to see if you have a problem

Are your shure your oil tank isn't cracked on bottom?
A few guys had them crack.

Nope oil tank is dry as a bone. That was My first concern

But whatever I'm just trying to say that i would be more interested in a kit that prevented oil loss at all times not after you bailed and pulled the tether.
I'm 100 percent positive that this is when I'm loosing my oil. As described above can some one explain how oil wouldn't enter when the canister is the highest point in the sytem (aka steep #*$&@ hooks or weelies that you almost go right over backwards. This is how I like to ride.
And I don't care how you guys ride. I'm a well known sledder in my neck off the woods and propel always tell me how hard they ride until they come up with me

So back to the original question any ideas in the
This kit or how makes it. Not trying to sell me a rov

The guys selling it were from Alpine Motor Sport in Salmon Arm, BC. I emailed them and they assured me it works but I have never heard of anyone using it. I thought this would be the place to find someone who has used it. Seems like a good simple solution
