When I start my machine the first time in the morning RPM goes to 1700 normal but then drop to 1300 for a min or so then goes back to 1700 tell warm and drop to the normal 1500.
The drop to 1300 only started lately , sled now has 17500 km 2016 stx dx 146.
Sled work fine and no problems but wounder why the drop to 1300 rpm?

Mine does that too once in awhile. I am sorry to say that the ECU programming of our Vipers just is not up to par with any fuel injected thing out there including Lawn Mowers.

Mine was fine tell about a week ago.
Yea it’s the temps changes in weather. Just like there is a map for main fuel there is a map for air,coolant,baro etc. they all work together but if one is wrong it will do just as you observed. Nobody other than Cat and maybe Yamaha has played with adjusting these back door maps. Evo flash based on 14 flash should cure it since 14 had best idle when they started. I would just live with it and am.
