Hello Everyone
Brand new to the site. My wife and I just bought a 2011 RS Venture and can't wait for the snow. As this sled has no travel storgae compartments, can anyone suggest a well fitting saddle bag set? I have searched around but can't seem to find anything that will definately fit the short back rack on the 2011. Thanks
Snowing a little here now in Everett Ontario. Still lots of grass.

bought a set of yamaha saddle bags for my 05 venture. the fit is good, they are made for the machine they have lots of storage. only problem is the turn buckle they come with to attach to the tunnel seems to come loose and if you dont notice they will drag behide machine. changed mine to a male and female style latch works great! hopfully this will help

I got a bag for Christmas It is a sidewind deluxe tank bag but I am going to use it as a trunk bag. I will have 2 straps added and it will work perfect. I think.

I've been wearing a large backpack while riding my '06 Venture. My wife rides on the back, and we have plenty of room (she's small though, at under 5 feet).
Since I already had it, I used this backpack the first year I had the Venture with the intent of getting some saddle bags later. After using the backpack though, I decided to skip the saddle bags since the backpack was easy to use and very comfortable. While seated, it's supported by the "ledge" between the front and rear seat so there's not any wieght on my shoulders. Plus, it's easy to pack inside where all my "stuff" is kept (and it's warm).
I was considering these: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/acces ... etail.aspx

I put the saddle bags on our 2010 venture and they fit really well. Although my wife has trouble getting her hand in and out of the hand holds sometimes. I also put on a rear rack bag, the generic Yamaha one. I don't know about the buckle yet as we are still waiting for enough snow.

Did you use the Saddle Bags from Yamaha?

I have the exact same sled and I just strap a back pack to the back of the sled. I also ordered a windshield bag for it too and I suggest you do the same they are very handy and they do not get in the way of your vision.

Ya. I bought the saddle bags from Yamaha. I am lucky I work for a marine shop that sells Yamaha Quads so I get a little better deal. There is more than enough room in the saddle bags.
