Any suggestions for carbides on my RS Venture? Bergstrom is only a few miles from me and was wondering about those.

I will say the Bergstrom is by far the best carbide I have used . 6" triple point with ski saver and shim is an outstanding combination for good control and light steering.
I would still be using him but placed and order 2 years ago over the summer for three sets. sent him 15-20 e-mails and called once a day for over a week in the fall and nothing. So I went another route

I think things have improved as I did not have any issues ordering two sets from him last Fall. But I must say I don't find the TP's to be any improvement over the Studboy shaper bars.DGZRT said:I will say the Bergstrom is by far the best carbide I have used . 6" triple point with ski saver and shim is an outstanding combination for good control and light steering.

I'm running 6" Shaper bar's now and they are great for wear and do turn great in loose snow and some hard pack. If its Ice in the corner's the TP'S was way better for control.
I sold my old ski's and TP's to my Boss and he is still running them so there is about 6000 miles on them.

Dangrs1... Drive on over. He is usually there and has always been a pleasure to deal with. I am in Rockford and have purchased Triples from him for 2 different sleds. Very satisfied with the way they perform. Currently on a 2012 Vector LTX and the darting is minimal to none depending on riding surface. The sled also goes where I point it. I also followed Scott's advice and installed ski savers and shims. Good Luck
