Does anyone know of any design/material changes Yamaha has made to the RS Venture since it's '05 introduction?
-reinforcement of the back scissor half on the rear suspension
-two extra wheels toward the rear side
-wheels now have a thin rubber layer
-passenger backrest is ajustable on one axis
-front shocks are now HPG with dual clicker adjustment(dam. + reb.)
-both rear shocks are now Alum HPG, in which rear-rear is stiffer
-someone said here that the ripsaw was full clipped.... but yet confirmed
That's valid for the Canadian model which may vary the US one. In 2005, we found that the rear hich holder was on the Cad one but not on the US model.

aventure,
I saw an 07 Venture in the show room a week ago. The track windows are all open, but not every one was clipped.
Why didn't they do the job right and clip them all?
$$$$ maybe.
I do know Yamaha and Camoplast were pointing fingers at each other regarding the track howl issue.
Maybe this is Camoplast's compromise...
Another potential problem.
Design wise, the windscreen is 2" taller and the gussets on the pivot arm have been reinforced, what aventure said.

Hondo, a little off-post-topic:
Do you know if the '07 Pivot Arm will fit on and '05 Venture?
Regards.

Hi Glock 30,
Yes, It should. I would double check with a dealer though.
The pivot arm gussets have been reinforced and have a different part number however, I don't know if this reinforcement will solve the pivot arm failure problem as noted in previous threads.
When my pivot arm broke last year my dealer ordered another 05 pivot arm. After the fact however, and through further investigation, he could have ordered an updated pivot arm for me. My dealer was not aware of the reinforcement nor did Yamaha offer up the reinforced pivot arm. They just sent another 05 pivot arm.
I have also installed a safety bracket so if the pivot arm fails again I should have an easier time getting the machine back home. It is also much safer with the bracket should the pivot arm decide to fail at higher speeds.
Take care,
