I have made a downpayment on the new 2005 Rs Venture Tf but I am wondering if anyone can answer these questions for me:
1. What is the fuel economy compared to other four-stroke touring machines???
2. What is the weight difference between the new Venture and other older Venture machines???
3. If anyone has any information which I might find interesting or facts on these new 2005's could you please email me the stuff???
Thank you very much!

The Yamaha rep from Corner Brook said that they were seeing about 20 mpg with the Venture TF. The Vector was about mid 20's. Sounds great. As far as the weight I can't help much there but I suspect it is quite a bit heaver just due to the longer track alone.

Stuff about the new Venture half way down the page. It says the 2005 model is lighter, but doesn't specify a figure. You might be better off just calling a dealer.

I was there when the dealer filled the one I had test rode. Several others also tested it. It was rode extremely hard by all riders. When we did the calculations we got 17mpg (Imperial Gallons that is).
As for weight not sure if the machine is actually lighter then the old venture but it handles like it is. I just sold a 2001 Venture 600 Triple so I know the feeling of a lot of front end weight. The new Venture TF felt like I was riding a trail machine instead of a Touring sled. Very nimble on the trails. Felt like it weighs much less then the old Venture triple.
