RTX is ready for the lake

Well in about 1.5 hrs Im off to the lake with my RTX.
Installed my red/black Simmons skis.
GYTR front adjustable shocks.
I even put my Red lowrider windshield back on to look cool.

144 Stainless Steel studs with red backers.
All I have ridden this is around my building and back, it has a wopping 1.1 kms on it.

Mt bud is coming with me with his all rebuilt Formula Z 700 twin.
I cant wait for my g/f to come out, she actually thinks her Rev 600HO is gonna keep up with me.
So far on her sled I have installed.

Last year she ran 115 mph on a gun
NOTE she being 105 lbs is like having a fly on a horses back.

Well you guys have to remeber ,Im tuning her sled so I control if its gonna beat me or not.


Well back from the lake and here is my 1st ride report.
Did a few laps around the lake put on a few kms,lots of looks for sure.
I was the only Apex of any kind out there.

Engine pulls very nice,ran a 8oo X rev he got me at 1st.More to follow on this.
Suspension, need to put in my 6.5 mm spring for sure.
Seat, HATE IT Im sliding off the friggen thing and I havent cleaned it with anything.
Found some trails ,so had to try it out,
NEED more bar riser, what is stock?, how hight can I go?

Stock winshield, not that bad actually, I have a Mid size black one and its way worse.
It allmost seems like the wind comes up and over and back down on me.

Well got to race that 800 again later and it was much different results..
I found it likes the hard pack snow as well much more than ice with a light dusting of snow on top.
Ran a ZR900 and got beat pretty good too, found out later its piped, studed clutched and some other things from some big sled speed shop .
So I dont feel too bad, If there was a lighter rider on the RTX it might have been a closer race.

A few Mach Zs there never did get a chance to race any.
Did sit and chat with one guy though , nice guy not a bragger with a huge Z ego.

You can go safely with a 2 inch riser. I haven't heard of anyone putting on 3 inchers yet.

How do you like the skis? I have a set..but have not installed them yet.

BTW I put the Acerbis handguards on the sled....look good!
