RTX vs. Attak

A 121 will outrun the 136 mid and top. Attak has the same power, less gearing and more rolling resistance = slower.
NOT true in the RS models AT ALL!

Guys, in the trails it will come down to the rider with the ball$ to push these sleds to the limit, but out on the hardpack Attaks will get to see how nice that new L.E.D taillight looks.
Wow i guess you missed the one where i said we ran them both back to back and even switched drivers,we got 109 gps readings and dream o meter readings of 123 -125 is that wide open hard pack enough for ya,this was plowed road, raced down hill and up hill, both sleds all stock,no studs i dont know what else to tell ya,except i told ya so. :die :die
WHAT HE SAID!

Go for the ATTAK... It can ride fast trails, beleive me, and will not spin out so easy on softer snow, more traction... RASH

Ya what did you do to the skid plate.

Paint and tape on black skid plate.... Seem solid so far... If not, will be real strips chrome gold after... still trying stuff

RASH

I have read from 3 guys now that say their Attaks could not be caught by Apex's. The Attak will also be more stable at speed. As far as fast trail riding goes, I think we'll have to wait and see. Many have reported that with the rider being placed more forward it makes the 136 incher feel more like a 121.

I echo Mighty's comments. Go with the Attak. There's not much weight difference between the two tracks, and the stability of the longer track makes up for (if any) the little you lose on the top. The 136" will also give you more traction from the hole. The longer skid may also allow you to go faster on the trails due to the fact that it will not "fall in" to as many holes in the trail...the 136" has a better chance to carry you from the top of one hole to the other, and so on. I've ridden 121's for 20 years, longtracked (136") my sled 3 years ago and will never go back. I do 90% of my riding on the trails. You will not regret the longer skid.

Lets say the 121 has 5 mph more on top (which I don't believe it does, 2-3 IMO), the Attak will get there quicker and then you'll back her down. Where are you gonna run WFO for any extended times anyways :ORC

The Attak will also be more stable at speed, this I noticed big time between my RX-1 and Warrior.
Where I live there alot of places to run wide open.

Gearing may have a bit to do with it. If the Attack had a real 1.25" track for off trailing Powder riding like a 1.25" Paddle, then you see a difference in speed, but the Attack would be even better in the soft snow. The ripsaw probably allows the two to be a little closer together. All other OEM's don't use a ripsaw on their Hybrid/Crossover sleds. Maybe Polaris?, Not sure about them. Cat and DOO don't.
