I have seen posts on here about plain billet wheels, but what about the rubber lined Yamaha tuning fork, or spoked style OEM billets? Can you run these on a track that is studded on the outside? This is on a boosted trail sled. Looks like the spoke ones are beefier from the picture. I have the blue, and white Slydogs now which I love, but someone told me not to run them since there was no rubber. The track is the newer style Ripsaw with the thicker out bumps on it, to help with the studs. Here are pics of what I have, and what I am looking at. I have two extra wheel kit on this 136" track also.

I had the tuning fork version on my Nytro SE last year and they held up great! I also have had some from http://www.tricked-toys.com/ they worked great also!!

Is your track studded on the outside? I am not a big fan of studding the outside, but the dealer thought it was a wise idea at this horsepower. That is my concern :dunno:

Yep I had studs on the outside!!

I have a set of Ticked Toys billet wheels with the rubber on them...2 seasons and they still look like new..rubber is perfect....they make an excellent product..if you dont stud the outside you will have no worries...afterall you would only put billets on the outside right. The Yamaha tuning fork wheels look great aswell.

I have the tuning fork wheels on my Apex, which have held up great as well. I don't ride our local trails with this sled though (Iowa), and only use this sled for TY rides in Munising, so I don't know how they will do in marginal or dirty/crappy trail conditions.
