RX-1 K&N PROBLEM

Help.I have a 2003 Yamaha RX-1. I just installed a K&N filter kit, I also changed the main jet to a 165, and installed the Holtzman silver slide springs as recommended. Now it seems to run good sounds great but lost top end bad and plugs look lean after first 230kms tour. Feels strong on bottom end but at 100kms not nearly as strong as before and top speed 150, will adjusting jet needle help ? I think I need more fuel? Thanks

here's a few questions for ya

how many turns is your fuel screw turned out?
did you synch the carbs?

Not sure about fuel screw , never touched it since new,but I will check Thks..And the carbs were done last year but I did not do them with this K&N Kit. You have a Idea in mind?

the fuel screws might be one of your problems, in the instructions it says to turn them out 2 - 2 1/2 turns, it also says to synch them after you install them
