I have had my '03 in the shop getting it tuned up to try an sell it.Last year I tried the ECP kit which turned out to be a miserable failure in powder snow, so I put the stock airbox and jetting back on. Prior to the ECP kit I had put in 8 of the little foam UNI filters (about the size of a quarter) and it worked fine. When I put the airbox back on I also added 2 of the 2" Flowrites to the lid. Now the sled seems to stumble right around 75-8500 rpm. We have tried raising the needles to no avail. Is it possible that there is too much air getting to the carbs now? It is really noticeable when you decel from WOT to midway and then hammer on it again.

Have you tried new plugs? I've had it fix a similar problem twice this year.

I haven't yet. I had 10's in there and took them back out so I could use them in my Apex (they only have about 150 miles on them) and put the 9's back in. I will give it a try though. Thanks Kachess

Are you running ok now? I noticed you added holes to lid of the airbox. Anything done to the box seems to screw up how it runs. If our airbox comes loose a little, or if we take any foam or screen out of it the engine falls flat. The CV carbs need to feel the resistance to open the slides. Same reason carbs are hard to tune with ecp's. I just drilled up some more $4.50 rubbermaid airboxes boxes. We're installing one on our ex-turbo. Saves 4lbs and looks pretty goofy.

I haven't had it back on the snow, but the I thought of the extra airflow after my last post and I think I will put some SS tape over the Flowrite's and see if that helps. Also I started it the enclosed trailer where it was dark and opened the hood and notice 3 of the coils arcing to the valve cover, I'm sure that is not helping.
