I was the one who posted the results over on American Snowmobiler site. I was going to post them here also but my wife was waiting for a phone call. Back to the shootout. In the 800cc+ class I thought the RX-1 performed pretty good. The out of bow results were 90.20 Mph for the RX-1, while the POL 800 was also at 90MPH. The Doo only had 89 MPH. The Cat 900 was only 3MPH faster at 93 MPH. For a four stroke I thought it was respectiful. The most impressive sled by far was the Cat F6. for the size of the engine. Also the Cat four stroke 660 Turbo made a run at 13.196 and 87 MPH.

Shootout

Thank's for posting the 411 not too bad for something that's giving away about 100+pds to some other machines.

Guys..we can go out in the field & kick butt! We will be called cheaters but we know....we can tune!!!!!

IF the rx-1 went 12.3 last year

I would have expected it to go 11.9-12.2 this year!!!

VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THE YAMAHA SHOWING :(

I thought this thing is faster than the SRX

shoot out

looks like big moose yamaha drops the ball agian. but on the up side we all know what these sleds can and will do with the right tuneing. just like last winter go out and show your stuff revs were not even in the same game fire cats and zr9s are a little tuffer and now with the help EPC things are realy looking up 8)

I know one thing my warrior HAULS A** :!:

Pulls like no other sled ive ridin!!

I am more dissapointed , then mad about the results!!

It would be nice for once to have bragging rights instead of having to prove yourself to everyone!!

I have to say I'm dissapointed in the RX1 showing too. I mean...we came in dead last....Now we have to listen to the #*$&@ for another year.

Guys, we can't lose..just don't talk them up like our green friends. Then when they get washed (Bill waxes em, I'll wash em :D ) they will have to question what's going on...
Building a new trail bridge today, one of our members heard me talking about the red cat ski boondoggle, and was trying to keep his new sabercat F6 quiet, but you should've seen the look on his face, when he knew I wasn't kidding...he ordered one with the red skis....
he almost switched to the RX last year...but they are a stubborn bunch... 8) Now I have one of those f6's to conquer...we'll see.

I'm not convinced this is entirely a bad thing? Yes, the RX-1 wasn't the fastest, in a way that's good! If it did win everybody would be out "Gunning" for us. The topdog is always the target. Now with the RX-1 still seen as a slug by some they will be even more shocked when we kick their a$$es. WE MAY BE ABLE TO WIN FREE BEER? I say, let the other guys think they are the bad asses and we'll just have to comfort them when they think their sled is broken because it got beat by a portly RX-TON. I bet a lot of sleds will be headed to the shop for uneeded tune ups after this...........He.....he.....he...There will also be a lot of guys being asked if they have turbos.
