My 05 RX-1 developed an exhaust leak. After I removed the seat (and related) it looks like the problem is at the flange where the Y-Pipe(s) connect with the headers. After looking at replvement parts I made the discision that this kit on eBay would be the best fix.

My question is how to I remove the Y-Pipes for repair? I see nothing obvious when I remove the seat. I need to be able to unbolt the Y-Pipe and slide it out. I believe I have to drop the skid? Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks
Sounds like the rear suspension has to be lower and the exhaust bracket drilled out to get the Y-Pipe out?

Yes drop the skid. Drill out the bracket only if the bolts refuse to move that hold the Y-pipes. I use a torch and make them cherry red. They seem to come off easy then.
