I have owned my 03RX-1Mt for about 2 years and have been happy with it. Just in the last year I have started to play around with the clutch. Currently I am running 53 gram Dalton weight arms, silver spring in the secondary with a 51/45 helix. I have tried a couple other setups and really like this one, but was just wondering if anybody has any ideas on a better combination.

RX-1ND, I use the Heavy Hitters. #1 Hole 1/4 + 3/4
#2 7/16 thick washer
#3 3/8 steel
Ted Jannettys (sp?) setup. Used silver 2ndary at 80* with 54/42.
Now trying same but with 45 stock.
45 seems to run cooler and less glazing on belt.
Motor seems to feel better at 10,500 rpm also. Keep us posted on any ideas that work for you. 4-Play.

That is my set up except I run a thin washer under that 3/8 bolt in the tip.
I also use the Warrior White spring and a Dalton 52-44 helix set at 3-3.
I think either I am going to add another thin washer to the tip or try a 54-46 helix for more top end.

I have tried this setup from "Snow Fever" on the Totally Yamaha site and it works pretty good...i did leave the helix and gearing stock so far...any input on how to improve on this would be appreciated...would like some more top end if possible...have seen 140-145 km/h (90 mph) with it climbing slowly from there...i think the secondary is slipping (smells like belt)...should i increase the twist to 6-2, 6-3 or even 9-1 maybe to hold the belt better??
thanks
Chris
