Was really bummed last year when the race was cancelled (lack of snow) cause 2 teams had entered with RX-1's. Wanted to see how these sleds would handle this 2000 mile race. Well, they obviously handled it well. Booth and Zipay finished 4th and were only 2 hrs. behind the winners on Ski-doo's. Don't have any details yet as far as break downs (if any) fuel and oil consumption etc.
25 teams enter with over half (13) scratched with breakdowns! Glad to see the RX-1 got the boys to the finish line. This is longest if not the toughest cross country race in the world!! A true test for any sled!

Well here's what we want to know. 1800 Mile Race, $90,000 first place

1st place- Ski Doo 600
2nd place- Artic Cat 700
3rd place- Polaris 700
4th Place- RX-1- (3Hr 22 Min behind first.)

There were alot of Doo, Poo and Cats that placed lower or even scratched from the race. 55 racers and a team with RX-1's comes in 4th the first year they run the RX. Pretty impressinve. Only one team raced the RX. odds stacked againts the RX.

A friend of mine who ran the irondog this year who is factory sponsored by polaris was talking smack about my RX last year. Guess what, he scratched. Who's talking smack now. Who's your daddy!!!!!

That's some good news for me, the race i'm in is only 170miles. Can anyone tell from the photos @Irondog.org what the front suspension components are? Or where to buy them? :D

I looked at the pictures. From what I can tell is they are running Olin shocks and Aluminium Billet ski spindle houseings. Those housings are spendy like $800 per set. Much stronger. Too much money for me.
