Hi.
Is there 3 layers on -04 Yamaha RX OEM head gasket? I took a closer look at my turbo-Warrior engine and there is 3 metalsheet layers all same kind of sheets under the cylinder head. Wondering if there is just 1 OEM gasket? Or should I take the head off and re-chim it or what to do.
Is there changes on head gaskets between models -03, -04, and -05 ?

Three stacked gaskets is often used on RX model to lower compression when using turbo, without lowering compression you must use racegas if you want to be safe with boost.
With three gaskets 0,95bar is pretty safe with premium, 98 octane in scandinavia, and no change that i know of.

That i´ve been heard... but it´s still a mystery is there 3 layers in OEM gasket? I have 3 metal sheets between head and cylinder but them looks like very thin. I did pressure test for the cylinder and gauge showed 13,5 bar or 195 Psi at WOT.

on the 2003 rx1 to the 2005 there is three layers in the oem head gasket. 195 psi is about right at wot .It is about 180 psi to 210 psi on stock head gasket.

OK, thanks. Took off the cylinder head and there was 1 OEM gasket. I´m putting 3 gaskets stacked so the sled will run ok with more boost.

Get a custom cometic. Better quality. They can make one with whatever thickness you want.

Many people have recommended that thicker custom gasket. Won´t stacket OEM´s surivive on 14 Psi and below? What thickness is best for 12-14 Psi boost.

I know the custom cometic can survive 30 + psi, I am only running 10 psi. I am also using 10mm arp studs, I strongly reccomend those too while you have your head off. Little extra insurance for a little extra dough. Just my 2 cents. As far as the thickness mine is .060 and at 10psi I can run 91 octane, I will run 93 for safety. I know you can go thicker, I believe the stock single gasket is .018 or .019, so three will put you in my ball park. If you are going through with the shim try to get one that is going to get your CR down far enough for super pump. I am not real sure if you can run pump at 14 regardless of the shim, you can probably use pump at 12 psi with the right shim. There are some good vendors on here who could set you up. Powderlites, Hurricane, Jannetty, just to name a few. I think I am going to go with meth eventually so I wouldn't have to worry about octane as much. Good luck!

Think about it. One singe three layered gasket, the stacked ones have 9 layers that can start leaking, mine did blow at 14 lbs as said numerous of times.
A single gasket is what the design of head and cyl asks for. Gaskets are designed to have a flat surface on each side of it for proper sealing. Stacking gaskets and you won't have that, two surfaces are now gasket on gasket which are not a flat surface. I would recommend either a custom gasket or a head shim with gaskets on each side of it.
Cometic makes all kinds of thickness'es. TWIN TURBO does also sell custom gaskets www.powerbygns.com
You can get head shims from MCXpress or Powderlites.
Stacking 3 gaskets may work but I won't bet on it
