Ouch, hit rock preety hard, enough to move sled to other side of trail, after inspection, spindle housing is bent, but, thats not all,now after trying to remove spindle housing, find things very bent, but got lucky, bulkhead is OK a-arms are not, both are bent, does anyone know what the price is to replace them.I am going to dealer to get them tomorrow, but would like to have a heads up for the Bill! OH yea what a bitch to get the bolts out,now the bushings were very tight,w/a bent bolt, not helping much. One more thing,if you remove front plastic front moulding v-nose just below the front bumper, enabling you to get to a-arm bolts, and what do you find but the BRAIN BOX exsposed to possible damage,if front end was to be struck very hard, now i dought that sled would even start after such a crash, when brain box is damaged. Does anyone think the box could/should be moved to a safer place? Thanks beast 8)

owie

I dont have anything to add, sorry, I just wanted to hit the "notify me when a reply is posted" button, because this concerns me and all yamahawg owners. Good luck tomorrow, if you were riding a Mtn rx I could help maybe, I am getting a set of wide arms soon.

I thought that it was a bad place for that box too.Maybe it needs to stay cool up front there, why else would they keep it exposed like that?

I hit a culvert at about 5 mph... bent the ski strait up , twisted the ski saddle and bent the ski... put small bend in the metal part of the spindle..

I was however able to straiten all of it without replacing parts.. I am good with a hammer and a vise..

did i mention i did that while the sled only had 50 miles on it..

i had rolled it earlier that night busting the guage plastic !! Ouch cost $100 for that !!

Thats not the ECU thats the RECTIFIER & REGULATOR ASSY not sure on the price but the ECU is further back mounted to the bottom of the battery tray. Last time i priced arms they were 280 each lower and 125 each upper canadian dollars.

Why not just go with a wide front end kit?

Thanks mikey,i got a great deal at woodys in topsome Maine,he had some take off arms from some wide front end kits he installed, you were right lower in U.S. curency was $90.00 upper is $180.00 and i got both for $130.00 w/bushings very cool deal.
