RX1 engine mounts

There is a lot of people that say the Rx1 engine mounts is a solid mount.Well ,why do the service manual say to keep your center to centre 268.5 mm?If you take a look at your center to center ,you will see that it is way off.The mounts can move up to 6 to 7 mm .Before you can move the engine ,there is two screws under the seat that hold the exhaust pipe has to be remove to make the installation precedure. Also the muffler bolts as to be remove.When this is done remove the engine mounting bolts and nuts.Use a pivot shaft wrench to reverse the engine mounting adjustable bolts .There are two in the front and one in the back that goes right through to the other side .Now the engine can be move to get your center to center . Tighten the front right and left engine mounting adjust bolts until they come to cantack with the engine damper.At this time ,do not apply torque to the engine mounting adjust bolts.Tighten the front right and left engine mounting nuts. :ORC

It is a solid mount... as opposed to being on a flexible rubber mount.

you said it lb, welded solid, so if it needs adjusting you take out the torches, just watch those gas lines. :wink:
