Hey guys Im just new to this forum so if Im asking a repeated question I apolagize. I just bought an 04 RX1 Mountain and Im curious what are the jet sizes from factory? I know its all relative to your elevation, tempature, and a few other things when it comes to jetting, but can someone tell me the elevation the jetting from factory is good for? I rode it 2 weeks ago in Chama New Mexico. The elevation there is anywhere from 9,000 to 12,000 ft. I am from Kansas so its around 3400 here. I wont ride it much here at all Im sure but I just want to make sure that Im safe. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Here are the jet charts from my 2003 RX-1 service manual. I highly doubt they changed for 2004 so these numbers should be good. The chart on the bottom is for the mountain sleds. It looks like the stock jetting is for 0-1700ft at -4F to 32F with a #135 main jet.

You will lose power at high altitude for sure but I doubt you will hurt the engine as long as you run good gas and leave the intake stock. If I were you at those altitudes, I would change the jets to a #130 or #132.5 and adjust the Pilot screw to either 3/4 (#132.5) or 1-1/4 (#130) turns in.

Hey thanks man thats an awesome chart. So no matter what Im going to be rich enough. Thats all I cared about, Id rather be too rich than too lean. I did ride it at Chama already and it never bogged, never popped, and never got warm. Thanks for the information that helps me out alot. Ive had to do alot of jetting with my banshees, and this just simplified the whole deal for me.
