My buddy has a 04 or 05 rx1 (red and grey) and it idles fine but once on the throttle is very low on power and sounds like its missing cylinders. runs smooth at idle. has there been any known issues like this, tps, tors??
You could have arcing from the coils easily seen at night in a dark garage with engine running. It could also be the plugs my 05 was running very rough changed plugs and voila. There could be some arcing from the wires in front of the sled under the tool box look for rubbed out wear spots on the wiring harness. It could also be the carbs need a good cleaning. I would change the plugs clean up the contacts on the coils make sure they are seated good and run a can of seafoam in with new gasoline.
