RX1 Track driver up grade

Thanks for setting me straight 9 tooth drivers and a 23 tooth top gear is were I'll start.

drivers

going to 8 tooth drivers is gearing down by about 3 teeth just do the math i went to 10 tooth drivers and i had to gear down 1 one top and 2 teeth larger lower it gave me a top speed in theory of 123mph from 119.5 with 24-38 and 9 tooth drivers 8)

I purchased a set of 9 tooth involute/extrovert drivers from HPE for a 1" shaft. They measure 15/16" ID my shaft measures 1 1/16" OD an 1/8" differance. Does this sound right? Our shop has a 5 ton press but.... :?

The guys in the shop are going to try and queeze them on. Mentioned earlier on this thread was to machine 3/16" to 3/8" off the tips. I have a extended stock skid. Will 3/16" off be enough?

If the front arm was not relocated further back in the tunnel, you still need to machine the same amount off the drivers.
If you were using an M10 you would need to remove additional material.
One of the kits that mountain perf. sells will extend the rails and relocate the skid further back as well, to help the approach angle.

There are sooooo many different options on how to build a cross country RX1. :D
