New hear, good site! I bought an 08 nytro at the end of the season so I only got to ride it a few times, question I have is about 2-4 times in a 200 mile ride the check engine light would come on, sending it into limp mode. I could pull over and wait only 30 seconds or so and it would go out and run fine, just enough to p you off! Im running a mpi stage 1 kit running 5-6 psi on 91 octane, head shim, head studs, gems programmer, and a msd external fuel pump at sea level. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Please add your location to your site profile, per site rules, thanks.
When the check engine light is flashing, there should be a code flashing as well on the screen, or at minimum a symbol indicating temp or fuel, etc..
What code flashes when it does this?

check you throttle to see if the flipper is loose, it should have some play in it. Sounds like the TORS is kicking in? Mine acted like it once or twice and that's what it was, just needed a little adjustment. It will show a code on the dash, when the TORS is making the rev. limiter come on. I think it tells the code # in your book, if not, I'm sure somewhere on here I have seen where someone has listed them. do a search and you will come across them. Good Luck

Hmm I did not see a code come up, unfortunately I will not be able to check again as the snow is gone where I am. I do no about the codes as I had one flash when the fuel pump relay went, did not see one when this was happening. TORS could be it, as it actually seemed to happen when I let off the throttle quickly most of the time. Will look into it thanks

There is a procedure in the service manual to get into the computer and it will show all of the stored codes through the dash display, and what the values of each sensor are. It's not hard to follow the directions to do it, but it might be a bit too much to post them here. It covers several pages of the servoce manual as it goes through each sensor and function of the sled.
If you have access to a service manual you can follow it there, or let me know and I can email you the instructions.
