I have a 4 place Excalabur open trailer - I'd like to modify the salt guard or splash guard so I have some better protection for the yamahas I carry. Currently the guard only goes up about 30" from the floor of the trailer. One of the machines I trailer is a Phaser - given how high it stands I'd like to raise the guard to 48" high. I'm a little worried about wind resistance and how best to flare the end of the guard so that I don't have wind swerling back down onto the machines. Any suggestions??

Not sure if you want to go this route ot not but A lot of the canvas shops around are making complete covers for open sled trailers. Here in Newfoundland they range form about 900-1200. They are super light and work great. The ones here are supported by a lightweight steel frame. After trailering my Apex for one season on an open sled trailer I would never do it again.
