Good Morning...

I just bought an excell header and was thinking about adding the schmidt bros intake (the uni filters)....my question is...will i need a power commander if I add the air intake with the header. I'm pretty sure, the header alone will not require a power commander.

thanks

I would say yes. Increasing the flow in and out of the engine, gonna need more fuel.

Changing the header alone would need a fuel controller. Slip on would not, but I would add one with a header and with the combo for sure I would.

I agree with the guys. Full exhaust with intake mod requires a PC or a fuel manager.

Equast only doesn't need a programmer ( from what I was told ) if in dought call a few guys like hurricane, eccell, Schmitt ,ulmer racing etc there all really a lot of help and will answer any questions you might have. I was also running the full equast only without any other add on's but I couldn't resist, for a few more bucks it increases HP from 7-10 to around 18 with the air intake mod and controller. I opted for the cheaper air box lid mod and controller, I haven't tried it yet, NO FRIGGEN SNOW!!!!!! But I'm hopping I'll feel a difference.
