Fellas,
I've got a 04 RX1 mountain, moved the steering stem forward, apex seat etc etc This is my 4th season on it, seems to handle fine and work well everywhere, best rx1 ive ridden so far. (powder and trail). But i seem to break the lower front shock mount on the skid every season, i had a buddy over this weekend when we were fixing it, and he said it may be that the front of my skid is too low. Basically i have my limiter straps backed all the way off. So when you pick my sled up the front of the skid is the last to come off the garage floor.
I had did some reading, and watched a few youtube videos, on suspension set up and handling of a sled. New to the sled world, but i race dirt bikes and super bikes so i understand the time spent in a set up and research.
I also understand this is a rx1ton and there isn't much that can help it diet wise, without spending a bunch of money.
Through trial and error i have found that less ski pressure made this sled work and turn better, Hench the reason i kept letting out the limiter straps.
So breaking that lower mount common? Or am i just going in the wrong direction.
