Now that I figured out the tach wiring for my Daytona Multifunction guage I can go back and check my max RPMs. My findings were a bit scary and I now know why the thing blows the intercooler off when I get out of the throttle on WFO trail runs. My max RPMs on the trail were 11,760 according to the data logging function of the Daytona guage. I'd hate to know what the boost is and what my pressure spikes to when letting off the throttle. On a better note though; my max RPMs when climbing a 36* hill in 2' of powder are 9670 as indicated by the data log function.
It looks like a shockwave helix and maybe some different gears are in order considering the 11,760 RPMs came at 89 MPH indicated on the speedo.
