Alright, I took my 03 out last wek for the first time (The Tug)!

A couple of things really bothered me. First, the seat absolutley sucks. Bottomed out frequently. My brother has the new 06 F7 Snow Pro EFI and his seat is awesome. How do I get something along those lines with out breaking the bank for a new BOSS seat. I know you guys out there have stuffed the stock RX1 seat with more foam. How does this work and what is the process?

Secondly, I put an M10 under the sled. It was also bottoming out. It's a brand new one with reservoirs and a yellow spring. It's currently set up for 200lbs. I tightened the screws out as far as I could go with the current weight setting and it worked quite a bit, but I need more. We ride fairly aggressive. How do I go about getting a much faster rebound???? Do I set the suspension up for a higher weight. It is fully adjustable, though I am not much of a wrench. I weigh about 220 pounds with all the gear on? Any suggetions is greatly appreciated.

Since when is an M10 a Grandpa Skid?
Since.... ALWAYS.
Grandpa drives a sofa. If you ride agressive, you want an ExpertX.

Never rode an M-10, I hear they ride nice. But I've pounded the crap out of my Expert-X and it's still together. It's an efficient, and SOLID design. No busted this, or cracked that, and it uses Ski-Doo wheels and hyfax - which are popular in Canada, where I do some riding too.

As for a seat. Could NOT be happier with the Nytro seat on my '04. The trunk is a much needed feature, and my tank bag no longer interferes with weight shifting. You may also want to consider a pivot riser as well.

Thanks for the info...Did you buy your Nytro seat new or did you find it used somewhere? I am also going to tighten up my spring a few notches on my M10 and give it a shot.

I am looking at one last ride the last weekend of the month up in Canada.

Rode Bancroft and Pembroke earlier this year...Great riding!

For the M-10, you need to have it set up for your weight. Change the FRA on each side and you will see a greatly improved ride. They should be hard to bottom out. Once you get it to your weight, the weight transfer will suck though, and you may have some darting issues seeing the weight is more towards the front.

Your manual should step you through the set up. You might want to entend the shaft inside the yellow spring this will help with bottom out and rebound. Also on the rails use the FRA adjustment to stand the spring up more will also helps. There is a fine line there but when you find it will ride great. Is there an miles on the M-10? I rebuild my shocks once or twice a year,

Aslo can anyone tell my ifthey have done bussiness with the speed shop from this site? I have called them and also sent emails about the Boss seat but no one has ever got back to my. My is there seat cheaper? Where has ever one else gotten there seat from. I want to order the standard seat.

RX1MAINE,

Do you have the stock seat and if so are you bottoming out on it as well?

Yes I do have the stock set and I do bottom out once in a while. I am in the process of ordering a Boss seat for next year.

4Fighter does the Nitro seat fit on the 03 RX-1? Also where could I find some information on the Expert suspensions? Thanks.
