Last year I removed my rear plastics and trimmed my heat shield to give it a "naked exposed exhaust" look. I guess I trimmed it too much or the wrong way and the shroud is bending. I've seen some of you used polaris mounting brackets or made your own and I'm curious as to how it can be done.

Can someone elaborate on what they did?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

any pics on how yours is bending? I just finished cutting mine down just behind the brackets and am making a door to turn it into storage. I don't want to be crushing what is in there though.

Here's what I did. Still left the mounting holes for exhaust and plastics. I should mention I'm a pretty big guy too.

looks like a similar cut to mine, I just went vertical instead of angled forward.

There was a member on here that had made a polaris style bracket, but he has sold the parts. Apparently it worked well though.

That's what I think I'm going to do.
