Hey guys!!! Winter is fast approaching, and it's time to start some planning.

Last year several of us got together for a ride in McCall Idaho. It was originally aimed at Stanley, but we ended up just staying in McCall. The snow was descent, and a good time was had by all.

I am willing to host the trip again if people are interested. Last year we had a pre-ride on Martin Luther King weekend (mid Jan) and then the big ride on Presidents Weekend (mid Feb). I would think one of those same weekends would again work good.

Any takers?

I will definately be there for the 2nd annual McCall/Spray international Snowmobile ride. Can't wait and I am bringing the camera with extra batteries this time.

 Hey spray! I left a message there at bullydog, so I will get back with them, Is this in anyway related to snowests 4m ride? just wondering? let me know i would be interested in going either way, thanks ;)!

Snowest typically does a McCall ride also. This one is different. Michael has been swamped lately, but I know he will get back to you soon.

J,
You won't need the batteries.... The rest of us don't get stuck :moon: Well not as much as you anyway :D I like the "International" thing hopefully we can get some Canucks down for the ride.

LB,
What is your excuse going to be this year for not coming down? Big Polar Bear wrestling match that weekend? :tg:
(That should get him riled up!)

Here are a few pics of some of last years riding.

Spray, what I'd like to do one day would be to ride our Boon docking route back from Stanely again. Maybe this time we could do it from West to East? That was quite the boondock! I can't remember exactly how many miles we went without seeing a trail but I belive it was well over 40 miles.
It's a damn good thing we were on our RX-1s and not on Poo or Doo 800's there no way we would have had enough fuel.
What about spending the night in that little place that raped us on gas on the way over?
I'd even be up for another run to Stanley if anyone was interested. I actually enjoyed that ride. It had some great scenery and marvelous high speed trails. PB

Maybe we should plan to rides again this year. I am up for a Stanley trail/boondocking ride but I know some will want more of just hills. Also Stanley takes enough time that trying to do that and McCall in a 3 day weekend is tough.

What do you think about Stanley in Jan and McCall in Feb?

Good idea! I think that's why we came up with two trips last year.

We COULD have a group that heads to Stanely for an overnighter and maybe a trip to the good area we never found last winter. That group could meet up with the other group that group that rides hills around McCall for the entire time?

You just want to get me stuck again :D No guarantee but another trip out there is definitely a possibility especially if the snow sucks here. Any flatlanders considering this be forewarned it's a helluva lot more work ;)! But a blast if you make the most of it. Spray's pretty good at pulling you out of a 3 foot trench too got this nice little effortless technique I like that 8)

I really hope to make it this year. Sold half ownership in my shop, so I should be able to get out of here more :D :D

Just remember if any dogs run out in front of you do NOT swerve. You don't need any more broken legs.

Gramps why don't you load up Kelly, LB and one other sucker, er.... I mean flatlander and trailer out. Of course your sled is little short.

Between you and little red ridinghood my back was getting a little sore :D

Only September and the trash talking is starting. Man I miss sledding!!!

Spray, I just update the memory card in my GPS from the stock 8 mb to a 128 mb. I BELIEVE I still have all my tracks and waypoints. I'll take a look and see once I get all the topo maps loaded for the Western US.
I think we could find our way out of there easily this time without the GPS  :ORC
