I don't know if it's just because I'm watching from a helmet cam but you guys just fly down those narrow trails. I must be getting old but I think we go a good 20-25% slower than that, except on the straightaways that is. The crash at the end didn't surprise me a bit.

I have many but this one is most memorable. Nobody was hurt in the filming of this, just the 03 ZR 800.

It could be the camera because that trail looks much wider with the naked eye. I would be surprised if he was even going 50km/hr when he went over the side. You can see that I wasn't going that fast since I didn't even hit the brakes and stopped pretty quick and I think I was gaining ground on him.

dont mean to sound bad but this is what is killing the sport,i try to bring alot of my friends into the sport of snowmobiling but the first thing they tell me is,there's too many crazy people out there, dont want to get runned over,if someone gets hurt, they are running after it

It was a logging road and that corner was really icy, he really wasn't going that fast, it just looked bad in the video.

Instead of leaning into the corner he just locked up the brakes and hit the snowbank.

I guess I started all this. I re-watched the video and burgerbone's right, they weren't really going that fast. The trail looks narrow because of the front of the sled in relation to the trail in the distance. You know, like when somebody takes a picture of your fish and you hold it out front to make it look bigger. I in no way meant this is killing the sport or anything like that. It was more a commentary on the fact that I'm starting to drive like an old geezer. Hell, I'd ride with you any time burgerbone, you're what riding's all about.

I typically drive with my wife and we cruise along at or around the speed limit.

That's what it looked like to me as well, no leaning.

Was he an experienced rider and what were the shape of his carbides in?

Didn't look fast to me either.

Not very experienced or hasn't rode in awhile. Carbides didn't look that bad and the track was studded. I would have leaned and gassed it, those old ZR's handle well, I know I still have one :).
