I don't have pics, but I got my 07 Attak GT out of storage the other day. I brought it into the shed from the enclosed trailer, and noticed that there was a slight film of shock oil around the tops of the GYT piggyback shocks.
Has anyone else had a problem with this? It doesn't look like it's enough to make a puddle under them, nor enough to make a "run" streak down the side, but 2/3 of the top shock have the film of shock oil on them.
I don't want to take this out on a rough trail and have the seals blow out or anything.. ideas? Recommendations? I'll try to get a pic or two by the weekend...
Cheers, and happy holidays, joel

If you have a lot of miles on them it wouldn't be a sign to get them rebuilt and have the problem fixed...I wouldn't run them that way, its ok for run or 2 but not a full season, I just got a set for mine I hope that this isn't a common thing for these...if you get them rebuilt get them shimmed to lower your C.O.G. I've put 200 miles on mine so far this year with this set up and what a difference in handling, she rails in corners here are a few pics...
toomanytoyz, did the cover it under warranty?
they will cover them if sled is under warrenty ,i paid my buddy $125 for a complete rebuild for both.for his time, oil, seals & nitrogen he would't take it so i put the money in his tool box anyway! goodluck!

I know of one person with a 07 FX Phazer that just had his replaced under warranty, same problems as you. He has just over a thousand miles on the sled.

Yamaha will fix them if your sled is under warranty, or if you have the Y.E.S. plan. Wig
