I bought this 09 vector gt ltx in the spring and had the shock rebuilt in it and had a bunch of the rear skid powder coated. I just went to sit on it to take it for a spin and there is no suspension in it you pick up the rear bumper and it sags down 3-4" when you let go. Looking under neath and there is only 1.5" of travel on the shock before it bottoms out. My question is did i put something back together wrong or is the shock rebuild bad? the shock wasn't bad that i know of i was just doing preventive maintenance which may have not worked. I assume with the mono shock that it dictates the ride height unlike the ck suspension that uses torsion springs? I've never had a mono skid before so i am not sure how it all works

Sounds like you put something back together wrong. Since you had it powder coated it would have been in pieces. Easy to invert one of the arms in the suspension. Had a used rear suspension rebuilt and powder coated last year, but had my old suspension to compare it with when reassembling. So I know your pain. Pictures on the TY Tech sections may help you. The spring and adjusters on the monoshock will predominantly dictate your seat/sag in your suspension. The shock part is mainly for rebound, but does dampen compression as well.

Shocks have NOTHING to do with ride height or the compression you are getting when sitting on the sled.
The spring has EVERYTHING to do with type of thing.
Check the spring preload setting. You have have it on the first clip.
Bump it up to the second clip and about the middle setting.
