Wanted to see if you guys could offer some insight on what to expect when removing all 4 shocks:
-Front (2)
-Center and
-Rear shock.
I am sure each one has its own trick to make removing it easier and wanted to begin planning.
Do all need to be bound together to de-tension them, to make removing possible OR is it as simple and unbolting them and popping them out.
I have a 121 Nytro, not an RTX.
Thanks

Lift front end up and support it. Unbolt fronts. Back end, pull out skid. I used ratchet strap to take tension off back shocks.
I would do the front bushing while you have the front apart. USE Loctite Blue or go for the Red on those front bolts. Pull rubber boots off rivets to get to lower bolts on the lower arms. It really is easy to change bushings.
Grease up skid good while it is out and check your wheels for play.

Release torsion springs and unbolt limit straps to remove rear shocks. No need to pull the skid unless you feel a need to inspect it.

Hey Grizz,
My rear shock in the skid is dripping oil so its got to come out. This isnt a vanity excercise.lol.
This summer I was going to have them all redone so i thought I better figure out how to get them out.
Question - the center coil-over shock (at the front of the skid) will just come out with the top and bottom bolts undone? Dont you have to release the coil spring and back it off till its loose?
Thanks
MS

I've never had to back off the coil preload to get the shock out although I run it on the loose side. I sometime use a 4x4 under the the track to put weight on the front or back off the skid in order to align things.
