Short track conversion question

Will a 151 X 2 track fit under a stock 121" 03 -RX1 with 9 tooth drivers? or do I have to drop down to a 8 tooth driver for clearance of the lugs and the front of the tunnel. Also wonder what gearing should go along with 9 tooth drivers and with the 8 tooth drivers for the 151 track....

Based on memory, the '03 RX-1 Mtn used 8 tooth drivers with a 2" track. At least that combo would fit.

With the 8 tooth and 2" track there is between 1/2" and 3/4" of clearance. I've not tried it but I bet with the 9 tooths it would rub or nearly rub.

The only reason for going with 8 tooth drivers is clearance, otherwise, the bigger the driver, the better.

I've got the Doo 9 tooth extroverts on mine with a 2 inch track no problem. About 1/2 inch of clearance.

The 9 tooths are fine, I would do 20-43 gearing, unless you want to go with less than a 20 on top.

thanks for all the input, should I be using extrovert drivers or will the factory 9 tooth drivers work without racheting issues?

Run the extros, but if you are using a M-10, you have to run 8 tooth, as the 9tooth extros wont clear the rail tips on the 151.
