SideWinder get us back in racing?

With all the hype about the SideWinder and how well it preforms, do you think we mite see more Yamaha's at sno cross or cross country race's? I think it would be great to see.

They won't allow a Apex because of gear reduction. I highly doubt a Turbo is allowed? But maybe rule not there or can be changed. Doubt it though.

It will rock in mtn cross, but snowcross it's a 600 class motor. The nytro/viper motor was built to the rules.

So if I were to take a Sidewinder to my local radar runs what class would I race this factory sled in ?

Stock turbo and maybe pro stock 1000 class depends on who running the show?

I would dought it would do to well,given its weight and balance,compared to the light weight 440 or 600 cc class sleds that weigh 440 lbs and have great power to weight numbers,dont forget it may not be that great 30 ft in the air,coming off a big flipper,and with all that power,it would just wear the driver out so fast,he may lead a few laps,but trust me,that lead would not stay that way for long.

If they still had ice lemans on a lake it would be fairly good choice,as long as the lake had a lot of long straights like the wyman 100 used to have,basically it was a 1 mile drag race to the first corners and maybe two or three small bumps,than a drag race again,in that kind of race,man it would rule,and maybe hill climbs,and maybe a crosscountry race.

Unless a new class is made you would be running against flashed 1100 turbo's making up to 360 hp even in the pump gas trail turbo they are making over 300 hp

Ya dog but this is a stock factory snowmobile. They should have a stock turbo class but how can you prove the cats had a reflash other than they smoke my #*$&@!

I know but in the pump gas trail turbo shootouts there is no rules against it believe me I have run a few and this is what I had to run against and even at St Germain, WI I had to run the viper in the 1000 CC 4 stroke improved class with them even though back then I was only on upgraded MPI Stage I

Hey dog,how does your 2015 viper with MPI turbo run,is it over 200 hp on map 1??
