simmons Gen I w/ Polaris mounts on Phazer?

I've got an '08 Yammi Phazer Mtn and would like to put a set of Simmons Gen I on them to, hopefully, help make the stearing a little lighter and stop the hunting on the trail.

Anyways, I've found a used set for sale but they have polaris mounts. They are coming off of a Yammi but I don't know which model. Anyone know whetther Polaris mounts will work on my Phazer or will I need to buy new mounts?

they won't work without some modifications. your mtn sled was a 4 inch wide mount and the polaris I think is closer to 3. I think you can cut your bushings and spacers down and make them work. or new mounts from simmons will be like 75 bucks for the pair.

Thanks jlparker77. I could not find that info on Simmons web site. Maybe that's what the last owner did to get them to work.

If the spacers are aluminum then I can do that, if they're steel I'll have to get new mounts.

i believe the spacers are aluminum. but the bushings are steel.

Thanks again, is that the only difference between simmons skis for all the different models, they just have different mounts?

yes, only the mounts are different.

Nice. we still have tons of snow here. It's about gone at my house, but 20 miles north there is 5 1/2 feet still. we willl be riding in may this year.

No snow in Calgary but lots i nthe mtns. 10ft at the spot we probed in Golden 2 weeks ago. It's gunna be a long spring!
