I hit a rock that was covered in soft snow on a slope while turning, and it jammed my right ski inwards all the way, stopping my sled, was going I don't know, 10-15 mph, but was into the throttle to spin it around at impact 2013 Apex XTX. My ski itself appears slightly twisted, when viewing from the front, didn't know that was possible, and my alignment appeared to be toed in, which after measuring it was. I adjusted my tie rods to get them "straight", what a job that is, and now one side no longer has any threads showing on the rod end and the other had to be adjusted out a little. I then put a level on the "good" a-arms , between the spindle and the shock, which sit almost flat, and the one that I hit the ski on sets almost a whole bubble out, facing slightly downward towards the front. Sooooo, I'll assume that the A-arms are slightly twisted, either at the frame, but more likely at the spindle.
My question is, would them being slightly twisted cause the alignment issues, which is a summer project, or should I be looking into something else also?
Thanks for your replies,
Rick

You most likely have an alignment issue caused by bent parts.Have you checked the front bulkhead to see if the tabs are broken off??

Yes, I checked when I had the battery and the battery box out, everything appeared intact. I didn't.remove any of the riveted on plastics as I didn't think the damage could have been that catastrophic.
OK. Hibshman25 has a video somewhere on here where me shows how little of an impact it takes to break the tabs. Grbbing the lower A arm and pulling on it back and forth will tell you if a tab is broken.
If this where my sled I would be replacing the spindle and both A arms. There are a couple of TY advertisers here that sell good used parts.
Just like in any vehicle capable of more than 20mph, a good alignment is critical.

You may have more issues. Our Warrior apparantly had an impact with something, we still are not sure if it was the carbide catching the trailer ramp or what. We discovered the spindle was bent back and had worn the bushings out on the arm. When we tried to remove the bolts connecting the spindle to the arms, big problem. Both bolts are bent. The arms are slightly twisted so that bolt alignment is an issue. We were able to put a standard bolt in to finish the season but will have a project to fix correctly. Sled still handles ok, toe out is ok but we will have to replace one spindle and possibly an a arm.
