bumped a ski over th weekend now one oy my skis is off.
can i loosen up the arm which the tie rod is attached to and also attached to the spindle . or is the spindle twisted

How is it off? Just look closely. Mine didn't look quite right after hitting a ditch off camber, and the upper outer spindle bolt was bent.

right ski toed in just a little . i notice it when on trailer next to my othr sled. still riding it. going on long run soon want to make sure its ok. is the spindle splined? or is there some adjustment .

how do you check for alignment?? is it easy to explain?

Well, there is no caster or camber adjustments on these, unlike the old doo's I used to ride (camber). But for the toe in, measure across the skag bolts, not the ski. The skags are what sticks into the snow, for the most part, and should be representative of the ski. I forgot the yammy tolerance, but never have toe in. Toe in is bad. Up to 1/4" or so toe out with the skis pulled tightly together in the front, is what I use.

I hate handlebars that are off, so I sit on the sled, get the bars perfect, run a line along the track, and make both skis parallel to this line (with the 1/4 toe out). Then I test, and make sure it actually goes straight with the handlebars straight. If it needs slight tweaking, just make minor adjustments to both..like if you move one half a turn in, move the other half a turn out, to keep the skis aligned.

can you adjust toe in toe out without using your tie rod adjustment . like a rough adjust before ya do your fine adjust with the tie rods

thanks sumpbuster, but I am missing something. what if they are off? do I adjust the spindles?

Not that I'm aware of. You have to use the threaded tie rods.

For ski alignment, all there is are the tie rods. Like I said, get one ski straight with the handlebars, then adjust the other to 1/4 toe out. Use the edge of the track and a chalk line to line up the first ski to.

Ski Doo used to have a threaded link that could adjust camber on the trailing arm sleds, but the a arms are fixed by length on the Yammies.
