RDAY,
I think the best question for you is what type of rider you are. I have an SE and I do 90% of my riding on the Tug hill. Usually get up there 4-6 times and accumulate about 12-1500 miles. Many do not like the SE or the floats because they often say they are too stiff. And when you use lower pressure, particularly with the floats or floats 2, you give up big bump capability in terms of cornering. Now with the X's, on the SE, you have much more control over compression and dampening and you can still use a lower pressure and not worry about it. What I will tell you about the SE and 2K miles on it. It is awesome for big bumps. Not so great in the studdar bumps. But I am still trying to get the rear adjusted to my liking and has taken 2 K miles to get it close. My point is there are over 15 ways to adjust the suspension on an SE between the front an back and the package they give you in a SE you will not need to send it out to HYGEAR to get it valved correctly.
We ride the hill about 7 Am to 4-5 PM. and the beginning of the day is flat as a pool table, come 1 PM they start getting a little knarly by 4 they are nasty. This sled can handle it all. If anything the engine alone just makes you grin from ear to ear.
you cant go wrong with any of the Nytro sleds. but again if you are a primary groomed trail rider the XTX and regular FX would be the way to go. If you ride a bit of everything I would tell you to skip the RTX and find an SE. The shock package is worth the small increase in money you are going to pay and the adjustibility will keep money in your pocket.
I absolutely love mine...
