How much for the Curves hondo?

What are the two best things you felt got improved the most by using them?

Hello undecided,

The first two best/improved qualities the ski provides are:

1. They don't push in corners, as other conventional ski's do. The parabolic design shapes the snow under the ski to provide its own distinct track, and works in all types of snow. The stability these skis provide is unparalleled.

2. They ignor other ski tracks on the trail which eliminates tracking and darting, again in virtually all snow conditions.

3. They make my RS Venture steer much easier. I chose mountain skis as an initial upgrade over stock skis and Precision skis for my Guinness Record run for added floatation, which I needed when I rode the big loop in Northern Canada. Mountain skis were very good for my special purpose needs, however, trail performance is lost when constantly running on trail conditions. Unfortunately I found Curve XS skis after my Guinness World Record run this spring. I self tested them in the conditions available. They are a phenominal ski. Precisions were a good upgrade but, double runner skis have some major disadvantages especially when running on harder packed and colder groomed surfaces.

4. In deeper snow conditions 10" - 12' for example the parabolic design works with the sled to change the CG slightly when turning in powder.

5. With Curves I am in total control. They are the most predictable and accurate ski I have found.

6. The skis are well designed and well made. Curves also come with an oversized ski rubber that provides a built in shim the provides the right amount of rear bite to the ski as well.

7. The ski comes as a system, meaning these guys have done their own extensive testing and will recommend the runners you need based on your riding style. If you decide to buy a set, buy the system.

8. The rear of ski where the parabolic flares out throws a stream of snow towards the slides which provides better track lubrication.

9. Nick and Sean are both RIT Engineering Grads and are also well versed in plastics. Having spent some time with them at two events, their story is extraordinary. They explain the concept and skis qualites extremely well. They both are dedicated to producing the most perfect product possible.

10. IMHO these skis are the best aftermarket investment one could make in the sport of snowmobiling! They are that good.

Here is some testing my brother, his girlfriend, and I did late last season:

I believe Curve Industries is running a sale right now, $419.00 ish.

You'll have to check with them.

As you can tell I found something I really like. Sorry for going on and on. I know you asked for two reasons, however, I jumped on the computer on a Saturday morning after having my second cup of coffee.....

Hope this helps! ;)!

In my opinion as well as many others on the site, Curve XS are the most predictable and accurate ski on the market.

I found them after my Guinness run last winter. Wish I had found them sooner. I have a little over 1,500 miles on them and have enjoyed every mile.

Bottom line: I won't leave home without a set of Curves.
