Well maybe it's just me or the video but that thing looks like it's all over the trail. I can drive one handed with my Cat ski's with the staggered carbide and they are a fraction of the cost of aftermarket ski.

I’ve tried the tuners with SnowTrackers, Curve Xs, CA XCS and Pilot 6.9s with Snowtrackers. Actually still own them all.
Tuners with Trackers were ok in a straight line, somewhat unpredictable in turns. Steering effort was good. (These will go back on the sled when I sell it)
Curve XS have been my least favorite, gave up trying to tune my sled to them. If I made them rail, they were wayyyy to hard to turn. If I lighten up the front to ease the steerjng they got weirldy unpredictable, like all of a sudden they changed their minds (I’m gonna sell them shortly, they cost way too much to give me a headache like ghat)
The C & A XCS worked like a charm in most snow conditions. A bit hard to turn, but not as bad as the Curves, probably half the effort. These are better suited for loose snow and slushy snow. In off trail situations were freezing rain built a crust over loose snow, they are downright dangerous. If I was to rebuy C&A I’d definitely try the XPT instead. (I keep those and slap them on if the conditions are right, specially if I plan on driving aggressively.)
The Pilot 6.9s, ah my tried and true ski. I’ve had these in my collection for the past 4 sleds. They always seem to end up being my go to for the best all around ski. When pared with snow trackers they are the easyest to steer, go where you point and in most cases you could drive one handed. ( but you need that brake). They do have some drawbacks, they will float and push in conditions like loose heavy snow. Specially on warmer days. I think 5.7 wouldn’t be so bad in conditions like that. But I like to have the added floatation while off trail. I need all the help I can get with my 1” lug 129.

Can’t understand why people have issues with heavy steering and curves. I have good luck with mine. Only time they aren’t the best is when there’s 4 or 5 inches loose snow on hardpack. I would love to try 6.9’s sometime to compare

Good to know but I never see any for sale. Probably because Cat owners don’t have to toss them aside like Yamaha owners do with the Tuners.
Wish Yamaha would just put the Cat skis on it, darn near everything else is. Sure stinks when you buy a machine at these prices and have to toss the skis.

17Viper xtx - I never ran the Tuners. Played with AC skis all last year and never got to where I was fully confident in them. Went with Mohawks after reading many threads all summer. It was either them or Curves and I went with the Mohawks just because some were have heavy steering issues with the Curves and I didn't want that. Not bad mouthing Curves at all but Mohawks are a rocker type ski just like the Pilot 6.9s that so many folks like. Anyway the Mohawks are 7.5 inches wide. Stock tuners are an even 5 inches wide. Common sense would indicate that they will float up easier on powder. As far as darting I just got back from an 800 mile trip and darting was not an issue. Nor was heavy steering. Just my experience. Many happy Curve owners out there too. Not many happy Tuner owners.

I have 200 not 270 and that is definitely not a twisty trail. Maybe the video makes it look way worse than it is and all I'm saying is you don't need to spend a bunch of money on a set at ski's if all your doing is trail riding i guess if your going off trail that's a different story.
i have a set of x2 on mine trying a different runner the shaper bar runners are way to aggressive but with the current fresh snow it may take a bit of time to be able to test on packed trails again, but for flotation off trail they blow the stockers away
