Not sure I like the stock BTX (6.75")skis, I had C&A XTX skis on my viper and loved them on trail, not to bad off trail at 7.25". Should I go with the XCS (6.75") or the MTX (8")? XTX is no longer available. Also stay black with orange loops or orange skis with black loops?

Just remember the slp skis attach to the sled by the carbides. If you screw up a carbide you are left with no ski attached. Something that could happen if you ride any of the ny area's that have rail road tracks in them.

Good info I snapped a carbide -28 crossing a rr track. Snowmobile dealer 2 blocks away had carbides and tools. Now where do you put an extra carbide in the middle of your trip? On top of my clutch guard in belt holder than put the belt back in.Just remember the slp skis attach to the sled by the carbides. If you screw up a carbide you are left with no ski attached. Something that could happen if you ride any of the ny area's that have rail road tracks in them.
