How good of quality of video is recorded on the Archos AV500 included in the set?

I have heard it's not near as good as a regular camcorder due to it's lower resultion. Any truth to this?

I'm not to up on all that jazz, but the archos 500 is incredible to record too. i'm amazed at the quality of the picture this little unit puts out. I record supercross from the tube to it all the time cuz my tivo aint' workin, and it's amazing. noob
