slide rails on rx?

Does anyone know if the apex slide rails will fit on an 05 rx1? I have a cracked one and when I compared the parts on dealer microfisch, the apex 06 and 07 look the same but have a different part # and cost less. So if the apex will be the same I will buy one of them since they are cheaper. Thanks D

I had the same problem with the cracked rail on my 05 and used the updated rails from an 07 Apex.

05 RX was a mono shock so rails should be the same on an apex mono!

Look at the parts list for an 07 Apex "Track Suspension 1" and look at parts 16 - 18. They are brackets that beef up the weak point.

there was a up-date kit to add parts to the rail to beef it up for the 05 it was called Rail Reinforcement kit I can't seem to find the part # for it i will still look Bul S2006-008 Part# 8FU-0S187-KT-00 check yamaha warehouse part is still available.

The apex rails will fit your 05 but they have extra holes in them where the brackets for beefing up the slide rails are(06 and up have these brackets). The small aluminum brackets to bolt onto the rail are fairly expensive as well and dont come with the new rail.

Just get 2 rails off an apex and your set! They will already have the beefier rails. Sell your old rails for what you can.
