How many people have tried the SLP Powder Pro skis on their Yamaha or any other machine for that matter? I hear they are great in powder but I was also wondering how they are on groomed trails......like cornering and darting. I want to try them on a short track machine with a Cobra unstudded track.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I run them on my Apex ER which is strictly a groomed trail machine. I moved them over from my previous sled so I have never ran it without them. I have also always ran them with Triple Points.

Cornering is great as is the lack of darting. It wasn't always this way though. When I first got the machine I really had to play with the adjustments to get the machine to not push in the corners. I still get a hint of darting but not very often.

Without ever running the machine with stock skis I can't really compare them to anything though.

I run them on my 136" '06 Nytro, with the Cobra track. Awesome off-trail ski, as well at on-trail. For groomed trails, they are great. No darting, great cornering traction (no push), and still work great when the trails get loose and sloppy. You may have to make some tweaks to your suspension settings as they are a fairly aggresive ski. With with some adjustments, you can get them to steer easy without making any sacrafices.

My brother also runs them on his 136" Doo, as well as his new Nytro XTX.

Awesome skis!!!

I know I read over on the Nytro section that a couple guys swore by the Powder Pros as an all around great ski from model to model machine(was moving them with each new sled) and claimed they did everything really good....cornered, flotation and little darting. It seems the Nytro has been a hard one to find the perfect ski for too. I am installing them on a 2002 Viper and with the recent addition of a Cobra track it turned my sled into a completely different animal. It hooks like crazy on hardpack, does good in powder (other than the front end wants to dive with the RX-1 skis I have) but it now is alot harder to corner. Darting has been a minimal issue on this sled. I was also looking at the Slydogs and some of the C & A skis. My best prices have been on the PP's and the Slydogs.
